Zone B Meeting to be held on Jan. 16th in Ridgecrest, L.A. International Chinese New Year scheduled for Jan. 20th, Lion Marva Murphy of Burbank Noon Lions Club will be doing a Lions Info and P.R. presentation in Boron on Jan. 26th; contact President for more information, the last Zone B meeting of the year will be held on February 27th in Tehachapi, after the Zone B Student Speaker Contest. Valley Region Cabinet Meeting is set for Jan. 22&23; for more information, see the Dist. website at the url address at the end of this announcement, MD-4 Convention is scheduled for Feb. 5-7, at the Reseda Womens Center, see Dist. website for more information, Student Speaker Contest for our club will be held on February 9th, check with Secretary, President, or club Student Speaker Chairman Lion Tooru for more information or contact Dist. Student Speaker Chair John Minneci at jvminn@aol.com, Boron Lions Community Steak Dinner will be held on Feb. 12th instead of Feb. 5th, because of the MD-4 Convention, Nomination of officers for the coming year will be held on March 9th, committee needs to select officers for the 2010-11 fiscal year, Desert Region Cabinet Meeting will be held on March 12&13, in Tehachapi. Contact Region Chairman Walt Satalino at satalino6@sbcglobal.net for more information, and the Desert Region Student Speaker Contest will be held on March 27th, in Tehachapi. Election of officers for the coming year will be held on April 13th. Boron Lions Club 66th Charter Party will be held on May 11th (which happens to be our charter date), and installation of officers will be held on June 22nd in Boron. All information concerning the District activities, including Boron Lions events can be found on the District website (click on calendar), which is: www.district4L1.org. Check it out sometime. Community Steak Dinners are held on the first Friday of the month, from 5:30-7PM, at the Boron Seniors Center, 27177 Twenty Mule Team Rd. Boron. Cost is $8.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Children. Desserts are extra, and tickets will be given out for the desserts. The general public and all Lions are invited to attend.
