fireworks booth will be open from July 1-4 in front of the Boron Food Mart. We need volunteers to help run the booth, the International Convention is July 6-10, 2009, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Metro Region Cabinet Meeting/Dist. Officer Installation is July 24-26; watch for more info., and the USA/CANADA FORUM is set for Sept. 24-26, in Memphis, Tennessee. Watch website for more information. White Cane Days for 2009 is set for the first weekend in Oct. Contact Dist. White Cane Chair or a Region committee member for information or a presentation. Community Steak Dinners are held on the first Friday of the month, from 5:30-7PM, at the Boron Seniors Center, 27177 Twenty Mule Team Rd. Boron. Cost is $8.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Children. Desserts are $2.00 extra, and tickets will be given out for the desserts. The general public and all Lions are invited to attend.
